This splashy oval cut cabochon is Red Creek Jasper from China; we first saw this material at the Franklin show in early 2011. This particular sample has "geographic" patterns that suggest satellite imagery! My husband sees a cross-section of the earth showing an underground lake beneath a sparse forest. Whatever you see, this big buster with its subdued "crossed arms" topper will certainly be noticed wherever you wear it. This pendant is 2-1/4" high and 1-1/4" wide.
